Welcome to the Town of Enfield’s digital portal. Through a partnership with the Tompkins County Electronic Document Management System (Laserfiche), we are digitizing our physical records to ensure they are preserved for future generations and easily accessible to you today. Our “cloud-based” library is constantly growing. Here, you can view everything from official town governance documents such as Town Board Minutes to the biographies of the first residents of Enfield from the 1800s.

Navigational Tip

Note that all individual files are placed into folders for better navigation. For example, if you were looking for a document containing all Civil War soldiers of Enfield including their enlistment dates, you would navigate starting from the “Public Documents” folder and visit the “Historian, Town of Enfield” folder, then the “Civil War Military” folder, where the first entry is a 457 page document titled “Civil War Veterans of Enfield”. To denote the file’s location, you could write “Public Documents / Historian, Town of Enfield / Civil War Military / Civil War Veterans of Enfield” where each slash indicates visiting another folder.
