Volunteer of The Month

The Volunteer Recognition Program was first introduced at the August 11, 2010 Town Board meeting.

Volunteers are the heart of our community, and we are incredibly grateful for the many individuals who generously give their time to support their neighbors and greater community. As a small token of our appreciation, at least one volunteer will be recognized as “Volunteer of the Quarter” at least once every three months. More may be selected depending on the number of applicants. Honorees are nominated by members of the public and selected by the Town Board. The following criteria and guidelines will apply:

  • The candidate(s) being nominated must have volunteered their time for the benefit of the Town of Enfield and its citizens.
  • Awardees will be announced at the last Town Board meeting of each quarter (ie. March, June, September, & December).
  • Awardees will receive a Certificate of Recognition and a copy of the nomination letter from the Town Board. Both will be displayed in the Town Hall and on the Town website.
  • Nominations must be sent to the Town Clerk, and received no later than one week prior to the Town Board meeting at which announcements will be made.

If you would like to nominate someone, please write up the nomination and submit it for review.
