Please note that if your bill is lost in the mail or you do not receive it for any reason, you are still responsible to pay it on time, or a penalty will be charged as determined below.

How to Find and View Your Bill

  • Use the Tax Glance Website to view or print your current bill as well as past receipts. You may also pay your taxes online by card or e-check, but note that a service fee will be applied for online payment.
    • Tip: When searching, only enter one information item (i.e. address or name) to search the records for your selected year.

Payment Deadlines and Penalties

The following describes the penalties associated with full tax payments:

  • By February 2: No Penalty
  • February 3 – February 28: 1% Fee
  • March 3 – March 31: 2% Fee + $1.00

Residents also have the option of paying a first installment. These are due by February 2, and CANNOT be accepted after this date. The second installment is due by July 1.

Note that bills postmarked by each due date WILL be accepted

From January 1 to March 31, taxes are payable to the Enfield Tax Collector

  • Hours: Monday – Thursday, 11 am – 4 pm
    • Saturdays 10 am – 2 pm for the month of January only

After March 31, taxes are payable to Tompkins County

Payment Methods

  • E-Check via Tax Glance: $2.50 service fee per $2000
  • Credit or Debit Card via Tax Glance: 2.75% of Transaction
  • Check: Mail or Drop Box to location as specified above
  • Cash payments are ONLY accepted in person
    • Cash payments must be made at the counter. The Office of the Enfield Town Clerk and the Town of Enfield are NOT responsible for cash payments left in the drop box as we cannot guarantee the security of payments made this way.
